About

I am a metalsmith who works with found objects; transforming them into contemporary jewelry. My studio is in the corner of my garage in Greencastle, IN where I live with my husband, daughter (1 of 3 children), and Standard Poodle, Windsor.

Artist Statement

In my current work, I transform found objects into contemporary jewelry. I source unique items from auctions, flea markets, and estate sales. Once back in my studio, the design process begins with brainstorming, ingenuity, and a touch of luck, leading to the creation of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and more. This process is meticulous and often arduous, as the metal doesn't always cooperate. Those pieces that do survive are truly unique, one-of-a-kind creations.

One of the most exciting aspects of my work is collaborating with families to turn their cherished heirlooms into contemporary jewelry. By repurposing items like silverware, platters, or military medals, I create jewelry that honor and celebrate family memories across generations. Each piece becomes a special, personal artifact, resonating deeply with family history and tradition. Jewelry, unique to the family it represents.
