Repurposed Jewelry
My current work is taking found objects and repurposing how to wear them as contemporary jewelry. I have always been intrigued by sterling and plated silver service ware. The patterns, markings, and engravings are so ornate and when polished, or not, the pieces are beautiful.
I scour auctions, flea markets, and estate sales for unique items. Back at my studio, the upcycling process begins. After deconstructing the found objects, I forge necklaces, bracelets, and rings. This creation process is arduous; not all pieces are made. One thing is for sure: the repurposed jewelry is unique, handmade, and a work of art!

Custom Made Jewelry
One of my favorite ways to upcycle jewelry is creating custom made jewelry for clients from their own family silver service ware or jewelry collection. It's a beautiful gift to be able to wear a unique piece of jewelry that reminds the wearer of a special time or person.
"To really look at the intricate patterns on the silverware and platters is just amazing. So much thought and work went into making service ware so beautiful."
