Reimagined Jewelry
My current work is taking found objects and rethinking how to wear them as contemporary jewelry. I have always been intrigued by sterling and plated silver service ware. The patterns, markings, engravings are so ornate and when polished, or not, the pieces are beautiful.
I scour auctions, flea markets, estate sales for unique items. Back at my studio the design process begins. After deconstructing the found objects; I forge necklaces, bracelets, and rings. This creation process is arduous, not all pieces make it. One thing is for sure the resulting jewelry is unique, handmade, and a work of art!

Custom work
One of my favorite pieces to create are for clients from their own family silver serve ware or jewelry collection. To be able to wear a unique piece of jewelry which reminds the wearer of a special time or person is a beautiful gift.
"To really look at the intricate patterns on the silverware and platters is just amazing. So much thought and work went into making service ware so beautiful."
